SCAM ALERT!!!
Monday February 26, 2007 Several reports of scams have been submitted to our support staff in the last few years. Unfortunately online classified ad websites are being targeted more and more often. Please use caution when dealing with potential buyers that are not local to your area. Below are a few ways to avoid these scams.
- YOUR SHIPPING RULES, NOT THIERS - Remember, YOU are the one selling the item, YOU choose how it will be shipped.
- NEVER SEND MONEY BACK TO A BUYER OR ANYONE ELSE - If a buyer sends you more money that you wanted and asks you to send money back to them OR ANY OTHER PARTY (THEIR personal shipping agents/companies) you are being scammed.
- CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS CAN BE FAKE!!!! - And your bank will happily cash them. But when they do find out that they're fake, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RETURNING THE MONEY.
- DEAL LOCALLY - A majority of these types of scams originate overseas. We designed SIYO for local communities to have a place to get together to buy and sell thier items locally, and we suggest you stick with local potential buyers.

Image Upload Fix
Thurday August 3rd A memory allocation bug related to uploading large images to your ads has now been fixed. Users who have had problems in the past uploading images should no longer be effected.

Database Maintenance
Monday July 10th Database maintentenance is now automated. Ads older than 6 months will automatically be removed at arround 1:00am daily. We chose 6 months to allow plenty of time for larger ads (real estate etc..) to be available to potential buyers.
